A Message From Jack: Full-Time Fort Myers Fishing Guide

If you’re thinking about booking a fishing charter in Fort Myers, I know you’ve got a lot of choices. But if you’re looking for a trip that’s more than just checking the box—something relaxed, fun, and tailored to your crew—then I think you’ll feel right at home on my boat.

My name’s Jack Swedberg, and I’m the owner and captain of Jackpot Fishing Charters & EcoTours. I’m a young guy, but don’t let that fool you—I’ve been obsessed with fishing for as long as I can remember. Growing up in Southwest Florida, I spent every spare minute on the water chasing anything that would eat a bait, studying the tides, and learning how this fishery ticks. What started as a passion turned into a business, and now I get to share what I love with people from all over as a full-time Fort Myers fishing guide.

Here’s the thing—I don’t run a cookie-cutter charter. Every trip I run is different, because every group is different. Some of my favorite trips have been with families bringing their kids out for their very first fishing experience. There’s nothing better than seeing a kid light up when they hook their first snapper or get surprised by a big snook blowing up a bait. I know how to keep the pace fun, flexible, and relaxed—so if the bite slows down, we adjust. If the kids want to see dolphins or check out the mangroves, we can roll with that too.

A lot of folks who fish with me end up coming back year after year, and I think that says something. It’s not just about catching fish (though we do plenty of that), it’s about having a good time on the water. I keep things upbeat, dialed-in, and always focused on giving you the best experience possible. I’m not barking orders or getting frustrated when things don’t go exactly to plan—that’s not how I run my trips. Fishing is supposed to be fun. It’s supposed to be memorable. And I do everything I can to make sure it is.

Don’t just take my word for it—check out the reviews. Clients always mention how easygoing and knowledgeable I am, how great the communication is from start to finish, and how comfortable and clean the boat is. Whether you’re a diehard angler or just want to get out and try something new, I’ll make sure you feel right at home.

The Ultimate Guide to Fort Myers Tarpon Fishing

We’ve got such a unique and diverse fishery here in Fort Myers. Between the mangroves, the flats, the passes, and the nearshore wrecks, there’s always something to target—and I’ll walk you through what’s biting, what to expect, and how we’ll fish. And if you’re new to this whole thing, don’t worry. I’ll show you the ropes and make sure you’re in the game. No pressure. No ego. Just good fishing with good people.

So if you’re looking for a captain who brings energy, local knowledge, and a laid-back attitude to every trip—someone who genuinely loves what he does—I’d be stoked to have you aboard. Whether you’re chasing your first tarpon or just want to spend a few hours making memories with your family, let’s make it a day worth remembering.

Hope to see you on the water soon.
