We booked our guided fishing and shell trip with Captain Jack and will be forever thankful we picked him! With a group of 6 people ranging from experienced to little to no experience fishing, Captain Jack was still able to put us all on fish and entertain everyone for 6 straight hours. Speaking with him the night before we wanted to focus on quantity and fish we could bring back to feed our vacation group of 16 people. Throughout the trip we hooked and landed several pompano which tasted amazing for our family! We also hooked and landed several lady fish, a couple of sharks, and several catfish. Towards the end of the trip we came across a mess of lady fish busting on the surface where Captain Jack was able to locate multiple big tarpon. Little to his knowledge it was a bucket list fish for me and man did he ever provide. We were able to hook and reel in a nice tarpon to wrap up the day. Within our group of 16 people we booked fishing trips with 3 separate guides that week and Captain Jack provided the best experience by far! Life long memories were made with Captain Jack and my family that day. If you want a world class fishing guide that is going to put you on fish look no further.+3Posted on Google

Captain Jack answered all my questions before hand and made booking the charter without any snags. We wrangled in plenty of fish and seen some amazing ocean life up close and personal Dolphins and manatees. Thanks for the last minute amazing time. We stayed at the Pink Shell Resort, and he picked us up right at the marina, which made everything incredibly easy. My son has always wanted to go fishing, but as beginners, my husband and I felt intimidated. We booked the 4‑hour Fishing/Eco Tour with Jackpot Fishing, and from the start, Captain Jack was fantastic. He responded quickly after booking, communicated clearly, and worked with us to adjust plans around the weather. Captain Jack arrived on time with all the equipment and immediately made us feel comfortable. He was extremely patient and knowledgeable, especially with inexperienced anglers. We started catching fish right away, which built our confidence, and later moved to a spot with larger fish. My teenage daughter caught an 19-inch sheepshead—the highlight of the trip! He even offered to clean the keeper fish for dinner. On top of great fishing, we saw dolphins and manatees, which made the experience even more special. We told him all of the things we wanted to do/see and we did it! My son ended up catching a 5-6ft black tip shark and it was an experience we will always remember. We saw two manatees, a sea turtle, a jumping sting Ray, multiple dolphins and caught a few lady fish. Jack was kind enough to stop at a little island where we could get off to find some sea shells and driftwood. He is extremely knowledgeable and taught us so much about fishing and sea life in general. We will definitely be coming back on his boat again. Thank you so much Jack!!Posted on Google

We had one more day on Sanibel and decided to see if we could find a last minute charter to get hooked up with. Alice and I visited Whitney's Bait & Tackle for a recommendation and Ben got us in touch with Jack and that was the start of a beautiful day out on the water. Blue skies, perfect temperature and just an overall great experience. Jack worked hard to make some memories for us. We caught fish, lost a couple of big ones that got away and had a blast. We enjoyed our hours of conversation, too. Jack is an avid fisherman and knows his profession well. We will look forward to returning to the area and booking another outing with him.Posted on Google

Kevin RuarkOctober 22, 2025Literally hit the jackpot when we came across Captain Jack’s Google ad and called him to book him for some fishing and shelling during our first ever trip to the Sanibel/Ft Myers area. My wife and I usually fish in the Keys but we headed to Sanibel instead because wanted to try something different. We had no idea what we were in for when we left the dock with Captain Jack. We basically said the trip was in his hands but I added that we had never caught any really big snook before. We also wanted to take some time to search for some shells at some point. Captain Jack did not disappoint. We definitely caught the biggest snook that we have ever caught in our lives. We also wanted to take a break to have some lunch and Captain Jack docked us at Phuzzy’s where the food was phenomenal with a view, atmosphere, and service to match. Shelling happened as we asked but we kept it short because the fishing was too good to stay away from for too long. Captain Jack was very knowledgeable, patient, and easy going. He had suggestions but was always willing to do whatever we wanted to do. Never pushy and always helpful. He went the extra yard to make our day a memorable one. Our day was so good that when we found out that he had the next day open, my wife and I booked him to do it all over again the next day. The next day…just as fabulous as our first day. It was our first trip to the area but I can promise you that it won’t be our last. As we got off the boat the second day my wife told Captain Jack that when we came back he would be the first person we will call. We will definitely be back to see Captain Jack!+6Posted on Google

We caught a ton of smaller sized snook, a couple trout, and some mangrove snapper to take home for a nice fish taco dinner.
